Last Saturday, I found myself in Tucson in the midst of a hellacious downpour. Of course, I had no rain protection, so by the time our scooter group got back to Green Valley, I was soaked to the skin and nearly frozen. The next day, I got on line, checked out the motorcycle magazines' reviews of rainsuits, and ordered one that was highly rated yet not expensive. Nelson-Rigg (
http://www.nelsonrigg.com) offers their Stormrider SR-6000 2-piece rainsuit for only $49.95, including shipping. I ordered one a size larger than my usual Medium, to fit over my leather jacket. The pants legs have long zippers, so you can get into the pants with your boots on. The jacket, available in a choice of colors, appears to be quite sturdy and weatherproof, and has a corduroy-lined collar. Now that I am prepared, I predict that it will never rain again!
